How is Ultrasonic Cleaning Better than Cleaning by Hand

When it comes to hard to clean items, ultrasonic cleaners are the ultimate solution. In the past few years ultrasonic cleaners have been rising in popularity, as they offer a number of advantages over the traditional methods of cleaning of scrubbing items down with chemicals and solvents. Prolonged and frequent exposure to these chemicals can be potentially harmful and on top of that a lot of these processes require training and knowledge. This is required so the product is not damaged by the cleaning or chemicals being used. Ultrasonic cleaners provide an easy alternative that requires nothing more than water, occasionally a solvent, and sound waves.

The common ultrasonic cleaner consists of three different parts, the ultrasonic tank, the generator and the ultrasonic transducer. The transducer can be one of two types, piezoelectric or magnetostrictive. All of these parts work together to create a smooth and really effective system. The sound waves create tiny bubbles in the water that clean and scrub any object put into the tank. They are often used to clean medical, automotive, beverage, electronics, marine, weapons, and other products.

Jewelers often use ultrasonic cleaners to clean jewelry as it saves time, labor and is often much more effective than cleaning by hand. Ultrasonic cleaners come in a variety of sizes and models depending on your application and how you intend to use it. An ultrasonic cleaner used by a jeweler is going to be much different than one used for heavy industrial applications.
